Introduction
We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors in our home based on 15 bedrooms, bed and breakfast & Evening meal if required. The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will endeavour to help.
Pre-Arrival
- The main train station is 15 minutes away by car.
- There is a local taxi service that has accessible taxis if required; we can make booking for you.
- Brochures and menus can be provided in large print by prior arrangement.
- We have a website
- You can contact us via phone, text, fax, email.
Arrival & Car parking Facilities
- On Arrival to the property there are double entrance gates, these are open 24 hours when we are in operation throughout the year.
- We have marked parking bays, there is ample room for all cars.
- The surface is level for walking on.
- We can assist guests with luggage.
- The Local shops are just a few minutes walk away from your Guest Accommodation.
Main Entrance & Reception
- The front door has two steps leading to the Reception, We have a temporary ramp available if requested (let us know if you need this we will provide on arrival).
- The front door to the reception is always locked but we do have door bells in the door canopy.
Public Areas – General
- There is a path around the front Garden if people wish to look at the garden.
- The flooring on all corridors and ground floor is carpeted (short pile carpet).
Dining room & Lounges
- Breakfast is served in the Dining room on the ground floor. There are 3 steps leading down to the Dining room.
- Furniture is flexible and can be moved on request.
- Menus are available on request, and are available in our Guest Information packs.
- There are three different style lounges: A light and bright conservatory split into two levels. There are three steps down leading to the bottom lounge in the conservatory. The main lounge leads in from the main reception, which is on the ground floor.
Public Areas – WC
- Public W.C. is available opposite the bar area on the ground floor (for guest Only).

Bar Area
- Traditionally decorated, well stocked bar next to the dining room.
Games Room
- Games room with half size snooker table and dart board.
- Board Games available.
- Selection of books.
Bedrooms
Ground Floor Bedrooms
- There are 2 bedrooms; one is opposite the main reception door (Double bed) which is ideal for persons with mobility problems with it own en-suite (shower,sink,toilet). The second ground floor room is near the dining room, down three steps on the left hand side, which has two twin beds.
- All rooms are fitted with central heating.
- All Rooms have en-suite facilities.
- Each bedroom is equipped with beverage making facilities, mini- fridge, clock radios, Digital colour television and hairdryer.
- There are Double, single and twin rooms available, as well as balcony rooms enjoying open views across Babbacombe.
Grounds and Gardens
- We have a medium enclosed garden (flower border and lawn) for residents which is available to sit in (bench available).
Additional Information
- We have sprinkler system installed with fire Alarm system.
- We are able to use the front and back doors in need of evacuation, the Fire bell ring continuously if evacuation is needed.
- We have two fire wardens on duty 24 hour per day.
- If you require more assistance for evacuating please notify us on arrival.
- We have a No Smoking Policy in the building.
- We are happy to take delivery of hired equipment, ( wheel chairs, Electric wheel chairs, medical equipment).
- We will be happy to collect guest from the Train station in Torquay or Bus station (please ring and confirm) Free of charge.

Closed on the 18th December to 18th January. Open the rest of the year .Hours flexible to the business, the Guest accommodation is our home so occupied 24 hours.
